After attending Surtex a few times in the past, 2015 marked my first year biting the bullet and exhibiting at Surtex. Participating in Surtex required an economical investment, a leap of faith, and not to mention a years worth of preparation in the form of making new patterns, researching, designing the booth, printing collateral, programming visits, making connections online with other exhibitors, and contacting potential meetings.
Was it worth it? You bet. I was able to physically meet the designers I had been following on social media, make new connections, and most importantly get my name out there to potential clients with whom I would've not crossed paths with otherwise. From a creative standpoint, Surtex allowed me to get inspired by the other exhibitors, see the potential of seeing my designs in different products, and gain industry insights.
Before the 2015 show was over, I had already started planning our 2016 attendance. See you at Surtex 2016!
